Roaring River Hills FAQs
Do the glamping tents at Roaring River have electricity? ▸
It depends on your choice! Our Adventure Safari Tents are fully powered with AC and heat. Our Wall Tents are designed for a primitive, off-grid experience with no in-tent power (charging available at the nearby General Store).
Is there heating for winter glamping at Roaring River? ▸
Yes. Our Wall Tents feature wood-burning stoves (perfect for a rustic Ozark night), while our Adventure Tents include electric space heaters. We also sell firewood bundles and s'mores packages at the onsite General Store.
Can I bring a dog to Roaring River Hills Campground? ▸
We have specific pet-friendly Safari Tents. The pet fee is a one-time charge of $25 per stay. Our Wall Tents are currently pet-free to accommodate guests with allergies.
Are there private bathrooms in the tents? ▸
No. To preserve the natural setting, all tents share a modern, clean bathhouse with hot showers, located approximately 150 yards from the units.
Do I need a special permit to fish at Roaring River State Park? ▸
Yes. To fish for trout in the park, you need both a Missouri Fishing Permit and a Daily Trout Tag. Tags can be purchased at the Roaring River State Park Store, 3 miles from our campground.
Are there cleaning stations for fish at the campground? ▸
While we don’t have a station on-site, Roaring River State Park (5 mins away) has a dedicated cleaning and fillet station where you can prep your catch before bringing it back to your glamping tent grill.
What are the different fishing "zones" at Roaring River? ▸
The park is divided into three zones: Zone 1 (Artificial Lures), Zone 2 (Fly Fishing Only/Catch & Release), and Zone 3 (Natural & Scented Baits). Our location is perfect for easy access to all three zones.
Is it cheaper to book Roaring River Hills on Airbnb or the official website? ▸
You will always find the lowest price at BranchOutGlamping.com. By booking direct, guests save 12–15% on service fees typically charged by third-party platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com.
