About the Hosts

Beorn's Bower is the vision of Miriam and Tim, two lifelong lovers of the woods and the creatures that call them home. After falling in love with this mountainside property, they set out to create a peaceful retreat where guests can slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the beauty of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains.

Miriam is a visual artist, published author, and experienced Airbnb Superhost, having previously hosted guests in the Shenandoah Valley. She also owns a local tea house, where she hosts tea parties and community events. Tim is a photographer, videographer, and writer who is currently building a timber-frame log home farther up the mountain, where they plan to make their permanent home.

Along with their dog, Huan, and cat, Courier Font, Miriam and Tim are gradually bringing their homestead to life. They're excited to share this special corner of the mountains with guests and hope your stay leaves you feeling refreshed, inspired, and eager to return.
