Arizona Luxury Expeditions FAQs

How far is the camp from the Grand Canyon South Rim entrance?

We are about 30 minutes (approx. 24 miles) from the South Rim entrance via State Road 64, offering a perfect balance of accessibility and seclusion on 30 private acres.

Do I need a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle?

No. Our property is accessible for standard sedans, compact cars, and SUVs. The final 3 miles are unpaved, but a 10 mph pace ensures a comfortable “adventure drive.”

Is there heating inside the Domes or Bell Tents?

Units are off-grid with no internal heaters. “Canyon-Ready” bedding, including real mattresses, flannel sheets, and thick wool blankets, is provided. Bring heavy jackets and base layers for crisp nights.

When are the solar-powered outdoor showers available?

Available April through November. Closed December through March to protect plumbing from freezing. A clean restroom remains open year-round.

How does check-in work?

Our host personally greets each guest, escorts you to your dome or tent, and lights the pathways for easy navigation—even for late arrivals.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Our 30-acre property is pet-friendly. Dogs must be leashed (Pet fee: $25 per stay). Grand Canyon Rim Trails also allow leashed dogs.

Is there Wi-Fi?

No. We are intentionally off-grid to allow guests to unplug and enjoy dark-sky stargazing. Most major carriers have cell coverage for park updates.

What cooking facilities are provided?

Private fire ring with complimentary firewood and a charcoal BBQ grill. All utensils, dishes, and sticks for roasting are provided.

Do the tents accommodate large families?

Yes. Safari-style Wall Tents sleep up to 5 guests (1 Queen, 3 Twins), ideal for families or small groups.
